How Much Do Event Venues Cost in Jacksonville? 7 Local Venues Compared
If you've been searching for an event venue in Jacksonville, you've probably discovered that comparing prices isn't nearly as easy as it sounds.
We know because we tried.
Some venues charge by the hour. Others offer half-day or full-day rentals. Some include tables and chairs, while others charge extra. One venue might advertise a $500 rental but have a required $450 management fee. Another might cost more upfront but include items you'd otherwise have to rent separately. One of the biggest differences in price comes down to how much the venue does for you. So how do you actually compare them?
We decided to put the pricing in one place.
Below, we're comparing six Jacksonville-area event spaces that cater to smaller weddings, showers, birthdays, celebrations and private events.
One important disclaimer: We own The Fig Room, which is one of the venues on this list. Naturally, we are very familiar with our space. The Fig Room isn't right for every event, and we're not going to pretend it is. All competitor pricing and inclusions below come from publicly available information on each venue's website as of July 2026. Prices can change, so always confirm directly with the venue before booking.
Our goal is simply have a place to showcase different venues in the area and have a one stop shop for pricing comparison.
The Fig Room in Jacksonville Beach
Best for: Smaller DIY events where atmosphere, flexibility and included event essentials matter.
The Fig Room is a 1,500-square-foot historic cottage located one block from the ocean in Jacksonville Beach. It accommodates up to 49 guests and is designed specifically for smaller, intimate events.
Current pricing starts at:
Weekdays: $500 for 3 hours
Weekends: $1,150 for 6 hours
Full day: $2,050 for 12 hours
Tables and gold event chairs are onsite, along with dinnerware and other event essentials like wifi and a bar area. The venue also has dedicated parking plus ample street parking, a kitchen with a fridge and double oven.
The biggest distinction is that The Fig Room is intentionally DIY. There's no venue coordinator managing your event and no staff hovering onsite. You choose your own vendors, set up the event you want and decide where you'd like to spend your budget.
Consider The Fig Room if: You have fewer than 50 guests and want a charming, intimate space with lots of flexibility.

The Social Room Jax in Downtown/Eastside
Best for: Affordable events that need a little more space and built-in AV equipment.
The Social Room Jax is a 2,000-square-foot event and content studio inside the historic Union Terminal Warehouse.
Current event packages are:
$700 for 5 hours
$1,200 for 9 hours
Both rental periods include setup and breakdown time.
The rental includes tables, up to 70 chairs, a Bluetooth sound system, wireless microphone and Wi-Fi. The venue also has free onsite parking and a kitchenette.
For someone primarily comparing price per hour, The Social Room offers a lot of time for the money.
Consider The Social Room if: You need more capacity than The Fig Room offers, want an industrial/historic aesthetic or need built-in sound and presentation equipment.
The Experience in Riverside
Best for: Longer events, particularly if you need parking, a bar and all inclusive event packages.
The Experience is a roughly 2,000-square-foot event space in Riverside with a maximum capacity of 100.
From January through October, an eight-hour rental currently costs:
Monday–Thursday: $500
Friday & Sunday: $1,000
Saturday: $1,500
November and December rates increase to $700, $1,500 and $2,000 respectively.
There is also a required $450 cleaning/management fee.
That means, for example, a $500 weekday rental actually starts at $950 once the required management fee is included.
The space comes with 60 folding chairs, multiple tables, access to the bar and kitchen, parking, patio, Wi-Fi, a speaker and an onsite venue manager.
Event liability insurance is also required.
Consider The Experience if: You want a longer rental window, need room for up to 100 people or value having inclusive event packages.
The Social on the River in Downtown Jacksonville
Best for: Larger events that want more built-in support and a waterfront setting.
The Social on the River offers multiple event spaces to include a 3,300 sqft ballroom, a cocktail lounge offering 2,600 sqft, and a riverfront patio at an additional cost.
For smaller venue comparisons, the Cocktail Lounge is particularly interesting.
The Cocktail Lounge accommodates up to 120 seated guests.
Weekday pricing starts at:
$650 for 4 hours
$1,000 for 7 hours
Weekend pricing is:
$1,000 for 5 hours
$1,300 for 8 hours
Rentals include tables and chairs, a food-prep kitchen, vendor referrals and a one-hour event consultation.
Event staff and security are required and billed into the event.
The Social also has a much larger ballroom for events requiring additional capacity.
Consider The Social on the River if: You have a larger guest list, want a riverfront setting or prefer more event support.
Exhibition Hall in Jacksonville Beach
Best for: Larger DIY events where function and affordability matter more than a styled event-space aesthetic.
The Jacksonville Beach Exhibition Hall is operated by the City of Jacksonville Beach.
Current rental rates are:
Weekdays, 8 a.m.–4 p.m.: $110/hour
Weekday evenings: $235/hour
Weekends: $235/hour
Evening and weekend rentals have a three-hour minimum.
The hall includes access to a full serving kitchen, numerous banquet and round tables, projectors/screens and a sound system.
A refundable deposit is required: currently $350 without alcohol and $500 when alcohol is served. Insurance and police presence, if required, aren't included in the rental rate.
One particularly important detail: setup and cleanup must occur during your paid rental time.
Consider the Exhibition Hall if: You need significantly more room and want an affordable Jacksonville Beach location.
Look elsewhere if: The visual character of the venue itself is an important part of your event.
The Rooftop in Jacksonville Beach
Best for: Events where location, views and a rooftop experience are worth a higher venue budget.
The Rooftop is another Jacksonville Beach option, located just a few blocks from The Fig Room.
At the time we're writing this, The Rooftop is advertising a 2026 promotional rate of $2,500 for four event hours, plus one included hour for setup and one for cleanup.
Its standard published rates are:
Monday–Thursday: $800/hour
Friday–Sunday: $1,000/hour
One hour of setup and one hour of breakdown are included. Additional setup or breakdown time is $200/hour.
Tables and chairs aren't included in the base rental price but can be rented through the venue.
The Rooftop also asks event hosts to have a dedicated event coordinator or planner.
Consider The Rooftop if: A rooftop setting near the beach is a major part of your vision and you have room in your budget for the venue and additional rentals.
Private 131 in Jacksonville Beach
Best for: Upscale events that need more capacity, premium furnishings and a beachfront-view setting.
Private 131 is located just a few blocks from The Fig Room in the heart of Jacksonville Beach, but the two venues offer very different event experiences.
Private 131 accommodates up to 192 guests and offers premium tables, chairs and furnishings as part of the space.
Current daytime pricing is:
Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.: $2,500
Sunday, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.: $3,500
Evening pricing ranges from $5,500 Monday through Wednesday to $9,500 for a Saturday evening.
Private 131 allows clients to select their own insured caterer and bar service. Events are also expected to have a dedicated event manager.
Consider Private 131 if: You're hosting a larger event, want an elevated contemporary space with ocean views, or are comfortable with a significantly higher venue budget.
Consider a smaller venue if: Your guest list is under 50 and you don't need the capacity, premium scale or event-management structure of a larger venue.
Private 131 is a good example of why comparing venue prices based on location alone can be misleading. It's located only a few blocks from The Fig Room, but the two venues are designed for very different events.
So which Jacksonville event venue is the best value?
We didn’t set out to answer that question in this post. The best event venue will ultimately be the venue that is best for you.
If you need room for 100+ guests, The Social on the River or Jacksonville Beach Exhibition Hall may make much more sense than The Fig Room.
If the rooftop setting is central to your event, The Rooftop offers something none of the other venues on this list can.
And if you're planning an intimate event for fewer than 50 people and want a charming, private space near the beach with tables, chairs and event essentials already available, that's exactly the niche The Fig Room was designed to fill.
The important thing isn't finding the venue with the lowest advertised price.
It's figuring out what's included, what you'll still need to rent or hire, and which space actually fits the event you're trying to create.
Before booking any venue, ask about:
Total rental time, including setup and cleanup
Tables and chairs
Required staffing or coordinators
Cleaning or management fees
Security deposits
Event insurance
Catering and alcohol requirements
Parking
Required vendors
Taxes and other fees
